The thinker and his plinth

Rodin’s “Thinker” stood on its pedestal next to the entrance of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld for 52 years. From November 2020, it was on loan for a year.
During this time, young artists* engaged with the empty space in front of the museum. The results of the students of the class for performance of the Kunstakademie Münster (Prof. Nicoline van Harskamp, in the video) and the students of photography of the FH Bielefeld (Prof. Katharina Bosse, photos in the sidebar) are presented here.
Further below you will find our Thinker’s Diary, documenting moments of his journey.
