Starting from the questions around textile art practice, color studies and cultural transfer that Yto Barrada addresses in her works, we take a new look at the Kunsthalle’s collection. We will show works that illuminate the relationship between nature and man, constellations of color and form in an intercultural context and deal with textiles as a medium that is directly tied to the history of Bielefeld as a linen-weaving city.
