The library of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld is a specialised art library that can be used by anyone interested free of charge and independently of a visit to the museum. The approx. 40,000 media items include exhibition catalogues, encyclopedias, monographs, inventory catalogues of other museums and an extensive stock of journals. The focus is on literature on the various art genres from classical modernism to the present. The library is a member of the Work Group of Art and Museum Libraries (AKMB).
